Principle is not a pose. It is the structure underneath everything a man does — including how he gets dressed. The man who acts from principle does not need to decide what to wear each morning in the way that a man without principles does. The decisions have already been made. They were made when he understood what he valued, what he stood for, what he would not do regardless of the social pressure or the easier path. The garment is the evidence of those decisions made visible. Built on principle means that nothing in the wardrobe is there by accident, by default, or by imitation. Everything occupies its place because the man who chose it was acting from his own considered standard.
